May 3-9 Minnesota and Home

 May 3 we made it to Ham Lake, Minnesota and spent time with the kiddos and went to Grandparents Day.

Today- back in Michigan and back home!

May 2, 2022 - Wilde Prairie Winery

 We travelled to Wilde Prairie Winery in Brandon, SD from the Badlands. A nice stay with good wine. 🍷 

Tomorrow we hope to arrive in Ham Lake, MN!

May 1, 2022 - Badlands Day 2

 A cool day today, but the sun is shining.  We first hiked the Medicine Root Loop trail. It started straight up, and then 4 miles through a meadow. What goes straight up will have to come straight down - not my favorite thing to do - but it was a good hike.  We heard and saw a lot of meadowlark. They have such a pretty song!

We saw these birds in the meadow as well. Not a pretty song and quite skittish.

After this hike, we went on the Notch Trail. A fun trail!

We decided to end our scenic adventures and head a day early for the kids in Minnesota. The weather prediction is cold and cloudy - a perfect day to travel.
