Cuyahoga Valley National Park October 6-9

 Friday we left New York and headed to Ohio to Cuyahoga National Park. We traveled thru Pennsylvania to Ohio.

Saturday we hiked the Ledges Trail first. It was a super chilly day and every once in a while the rain would spit a bit.

Then we hiked the Salt Run Trail.

For dinner we went to Fishers and shared a clam bake with crab. The clams were ok - but the crab was great!

When we got back to the trailer there was a rainbow peaking through the trees. Love the symbol of Gods promises.

Sunday we “went” to church and Pastor Jonathan reminded us of God’s crazy plan for Gideon and His faithfulness.

After church, we did more hiking.. Another chilly, windy and spitting day. First we hiked to the Blue Hen Falls.

Then we hiked the Brandywine Gorge Trail.

Cuyahoga Valley was a nice park to hike in.  It was pretty, but nothing spectacular.  

We decided to change our plans and head home Monday.  Wednesday we will leave Beauty home and head to Alabama for the Celebration of Life of our friend, Soy Taylor.  

Hocking Hills will have to wait…

Watkins Glen State Park - October 5, 2023

 Thursday, October 5, we decided to take a day trip to Watkins Glen State Park. Thanks Barb Buteyn for the recommendation!  Beautiful hike with lots of steps and waterfalls! It was a perfect day!

Letchworth State Park - October 1-6, 2023

 We arrived at Letchworth State Park on Sunday afternoon.  It is an impressive State Park! Our site was great and the hikes were beautiful!

We hiked throughout the park and saw many beautiful sites!

Tuesday night we had a delightful dinner at Glen Iris. We had scallops and watched the balloons cruise over the Middle Water Falls. A beautiful night.

Wednesday we hiked from Mt Helena to Big Bend - a good hike!

We went to Hogh Banks Tavern for supper and had the best ribs and pork tacos ever! Good beer too!

We enjoyed our time at Letchworth! It did not disappoint!
