Saturday we arrived at Lake Griffin State Park and set up camp. A very clean and nice campground.
Sunday we “went” to church and then did laundry. It’s so nice when there are washers and dryers in the park! After the laundry was done, we went for a hike in the campground.
Kurt is by the trunk of this very old live oak.
We went for dinner at Ramshackle Cafe. Good food.
Monday we decided to head to New Smyrna Beach and spend the day there and watch the Space X Falcon 9 launch. It was a sunny but a bit breezy and cool. Still wonderful!
After spending time at the beach, we went to our favorite spot - JB’s Fish Camp!!
I’m in my happy place!!
We left JB’s and found a park to hang out at and watch the launch. Well…it was delayed from 5:30 to 8:30. We decided not to wait and head back. We were sure Tito was crossing his paws!
Tuesday we hiked at Daubenmire Trail. A nice hike.
After our hike we ate Kurt’s delicious smash burger.
Lots of branches to duck under.
In the afternoon we went kayaking and saw 2 gators. A lady said she saw 46 gators…hmmm.
Little Blue Heron
Gator!
Turtle
For dinner, Kurt made blackened triple tail. I mad dirty rice and a salad. Our neighbor played a hammered dulcimer - so we had wonderful dinner music!
