Sunday morning we left our kids in Minnesota. Rather than traveling 9 hours in one day we decided to go to Devil’s Lake in Wisconsin - close to half way. Sunday was a drizzly day.
Devil’s Lake State Park did not disappoint!
We finished setting up and then the rain came. So we headed to a brewery down the road - Tumbled Rock. Very good food (not great service).
Monday we went on a 5 mile hike around Devil’s Lake. Following AllTrails App - they suggested going counter clockwise for steep ups and more gradual downs. Sure glad we did that because the ups were UP AND STEEP! Fantastic hike with wonderful views.

It was recommended to go to Driftless Glen Distillery for dinner. We were not disappointed! We sat by the river and enjoyed some delicious spirits and food!

Needless to say, after a good hike, food and spirits - we were relaxed! 😁
Tuesday - packed up and headed home.
