Saturday, February 7 we arrived at Davis Bayou National Shoreline. It was warm! We set up, put on shorts and soaked in the sun! Then went to dinner at Woody’s. We both ordered the redfish with super good shrimp and a margarita. Very, very good!
After “going” to church Sunday morning, we went to the Visitor Center to get information about the park. We then set out on two short hikes.
We went for dinner at Bacchus on the Bayou. I had the blackened redfish with shrimp and a crab cake. It was delish! Kurt had the rib-eye steak. Also perfectly done. We both had $3 glasses of wine - a great happy hour price and a good pour!
To end our night, we went to the beach and watched the last of the sunset.
When we got home…..we backed the truck up into our site……a little too far. 😳
Not a great way to end....but fixable.
