We arrived yesterday at St Bernard State Park in Louisiana. Another good state park.
We went for a walk this afternoon. AllTrails showed that Bottomland trail was 6 miles away. In reality we droves 22 miles - 45 minutes there and an hour back. Why, you ask? Because we had to drive to get to a bridge over the Mississippi River, going thru New Orleans. The trail was a nice 5 mile hike.

Benjamin, Danny and Henley - I have a question for you. Do you know the name of this animal? Look at the pictures below. It ha a hard shell on the outside. They eat any kind of insect. Danny, it is not a dinosaur - but pretty cool! Put your answer in the comments. Your mom and dad can help.
We saw 26 of these on our hike!
When we got back to camp (after our hour long ride home) we went to Charley’s for supper. Not a fancy place - but the food!! The food was fantastic!! The gumbo was the best we’ve had and our catfish was excellent.
Tomorrow - New Orleans
Henley thought an elephant because of the long nose like a trunk. Ben couldn’t remember, so said anteater. He knew that was wrong. Danny said a bug eater.
ReplyDeleteGood guesses! It’s an armadillo!
