February 17, 2022 - Brazos Bend State Park

 We are completely enjoying Brazos Bend in Texas!

Today our day started with rain, turned sunny and hot (81 degrees), got windy and temperature dropped to 54 degrees. And I thought Michigan weather changed a lot!

We went for a 6 mile hike.  We saw a lot of wild life on our hike and around the park - deer, ducks, heron, birds, vultures (a lot of vultures!!), gators, turtles and wild boar.

This was the warning we read before we hiked (some we giggled about). You really just need respect for the gators and common sense.

We went for dinner and saw more deer on our way back into the park.

Tomorrow we head to Padre Island.
