April 2 & 3, 2022 Apache Junction

 On Saturday, we kept busy getting ready for Chris, Kait and the grands to come and visit us for the week. 

First, we went for a hike. 

After our hike, we got the van, got supplies and groceries, checked into the hotel for them, then went to supper in Gilbert at Whiskey Row.  Had to have an Old Fashion! 

Then it was a waiting time - - -

Finally it was time to get the kids at the airport. They came in at 10:30 AZ time - which is 1:30 MI time. We got them to the hotel by 11:30 AZ time. They were pooped!

Today we laid low. We went to a park to play with the kiddos and then headed back to the hotel for naps.

After naps, Henley swam for a while, then we went to supper at Joe’s Real BBQ in Gilbert. It was a hit!

After supper - time for ice cream! Henley ordered vanilla, and I ordered prickly pear. Henley wanted to taste mine and said, “I think that we should trade.” 🤣

I ate vanilla ice cream…

Now - we are all pooped and ready for bed (its 6:00 here - do the math)
