St Louis to home: March 22-24

Friday we left in the rain. We were thankful we decided to leave Roaring River when we did. Looking at the levels of the river, it went from less than a foot to 8 feet.  We would have had to evacuate.

It rained ALL day Friday, but no huge downpours. We set up camp and went to dinner at Big Chief. This is the oldest restaurant on Route 66 that is still operating. I had a flat bread pizza (super good) and Kurt had a most fabulous ribeye sandwich.

Saturday morning the rain stopped but it was a little cloudy. We left for downtown St Louis to the Arch.  As we went, the sun started peeking through the clouds. It was so good to see the sun! The Arch was amazing! The museum and the grounds were beautiful!

The Old Courthouse
The Old Cathedral

We got tickets to go to the top of the Arch. Well worth it!

Going back down.

For dinner we walked to Kimchi Guys for supper. I had Bibimbap with spicy pork and Kurt had Kimchi Fried Rice with spicy chicken.  So so good!

Sunday morning we woke up to sunshiny skies. We packed up and headed to Michigan.

Home Sweet Home!
