March 20, 2022 - Travel Day

Kurt brought the kids to the airport early this morning and I got the Beauty ready to travel to Joshua Tree.

Kristen sent me a pic of the kids looking at their airplane.

Will they get on the plane? Will the luggage be loaded on the plane? Will they take off for home or get off again?  The answer:  They made it home with their luggage! Happy family!

As we travelled, the winds picked up. Before we entered California, we filled up with gas.  Price: $4.69/gallon.

Did I mention that the wind picked up? It became a BLUSTERY day! We were averaging 6 miles per gallon. The gage was going down and there was not a gas station for another 40 miles.

We finally made it to a gas station.  😅

Yup - only 5 gallons left in the tank.

Then we saw the price…😵‍💫

And then paid for it…(it only lets you purchase $100 at a time)

Plus

$174.84 - Ouch!

We made it to our campground Joshua Tree Campground and are pleased with our site. Another full day! 😁
