March 26, 2022 - Zion National Park, Day 1

Our day started a bit cold, but that is ok for hiking! We headed to Angel’s Landing Trail.

Yes - we had been a bit higher than where the people are sitting...

Kurt and I started up Angel's Landing - and thought we had made it about half way up.  I first decided I was not going to go the whole way up.  It was so busy that you could not hold onto the chain the whole way because there were people coming down the same way you go up.  Going down was freaking me out - so I decided to stop.  Kurt decided to stop about 20 steps ahead of me.  We both thought it would be nice to look at God's creation another day.  We both went slowly and carefully back down (obviously - I'm writing this!).  We figured out we only went up about 200 yards - not .04 miles.  Haha.  We have no regrets!  We then hiked the West Rim Trail for about a 1/2 mile.  It had beautiful views and much safer!

After our hike - we took the bus to the end and back to the beginning to take in the beauty around us.

After hiking, we went for dinner at Whiptail. I had the most amazing Chile Relleno!! I would highly recommend. Kurt’s tacos were also excellent!

Now we are enjoying the evening and a beautiful sunset!
